“Yeah, that’s water under the bridge..Zack.” Cloud was doing his best to keep the conversation casual. Now that he was taking this situation at face value, everything had become a lot easier to grasp; including the ‘dead’ friend in front of him. Instead of trying to push Zack away, Cloud was going to embrace his presence. After all, long ago Cloud considered him to be one of his best friends. That didn’t have to change now, did it?
Sure, Cloud had been through more than Zack could’ve imagined, but...he wasn’t the one responsible for any of it. In fact...Zack was the one who tried to protect him, until his dying breath..
